Bio

 

1956 Born in Los Angeles, California.

 

1974 Attended University of California, Santa Cruz. Participated

  various group exhibitions. Studied with sculptor Jack Zajac.

 

1977 Traveled to Kenya and Tanzania to observe and carve with

  members of the Makonde tribe.

 

1978 Graduated from U.C.S.C. Bachelor of Arts.

 

1979 Moved to New York City. Assisted sculptor Robert Perless.

 

1981 Began design and construction of original “sculptural

  furniture”.

 

1982 Returned to Los Angeles. Assisted sculptor Eric Orr.

 

1983 Began working full time on independent commissions for

  sculpture and furniture.
